Sir Barry Cunliffe, CBE is one of Britain’s most eminent archaeologists and an assiduous excavator in many regions of Europe. Author of Roman Bath Discovered, Europe Between the Oceans: 9000 BC – AD 1000 and Iron Age Communitis in Britain, he is Emeritus Professor of European Archaeology at the University of Oxford and a Fellow of the British Academy
